Members of the CES team were involved in pre and post-production for following videos and animations. 

It Starts With You: Building Code Advocacy After the 2013 Moore Tornado (7:39)

The CES Team filmed and edited this video to commemorate the lives tragically cut short as a result of the devastating EF5 tornado. It documents the advances in building safety and how the city of Moore, as well as the state of Oklahoma, took steps to improve their resilience against natural hazards over the last decade.

Building Seismic Safety Council (BSSC) Recognition Video – National Institute of Building Sciences (5:10)

The CES team worked to develop a recognition video for the BSSC that highlights the importance of building codes and those who have diligently worked in the field to make buildings more resilient. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, members of the BSSC filmed their individual sections of the video via Zoom, Microsoft Teams and on smartphones while CES compiled and produced the video.

FEMA BSB and EWPB Mission Video 5:50

This video showcases how FEMA supports communities nationwide by helping reduce loss of life and protect out communities from natural hazards by leading and supporting the nation in a comprehensive, risk-based emergency management program of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.

FEMA First Responder Earthquake Video 6:30

This video showcases three fire departments (Seattle, Napa Valley, and LA Fire) as they share why it is important to be prepared ahead of time so that they can stay in commission post event without the hindrance of not being able to access office buildings, vehicles, or equipment and remaining fully functional

CapitAlert PSA 0:30

This PSA informed Capital region residents about a new emergency alert notification system they can sign up for.

This animation provides property and business owners with an overview of the importance of understanding seismic risk as well as the adoption and implementation of building codes with appropriate seismic design and construction standards

This PSA informed DC residents about a new emergency alert notification system they can sign up for.

U.S. Virgin Islands Earthquake Awareness PSA 0:60

The purpose of this PSA is to inform U.S. Virgin Islands residents about their earthquake risk and to “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” when an earthquake occurs.
