The CES Team filmed and edited this video to commemorate the lives tragically cut short as a result of the devastating EF5 tornado. It documents the advances in building safety and how the city of Moore, as well as the state of Oklahoma, took steps to improve their resilience against natural hazards over the last decade.

A community in Florida designed its own hurricane storm shelter that was activated during Hurricane lan in 2022. Members from the surrounding area took shelter in the facility throughout the event.

BUILDING BACK BETTER: RESILIENCE AFTER HURRICANE Ian 3:36

Watch as Walter and Sandra Winans share their courageous story of resilience in the face of Hurricane lan, which ravaged Sanibel Island, Florida in 2022. This Category 4 storm left them with devastating damage, including five feet of water flooding their home and destroying most of their belongings.

The CES team produced a promotional video for the Expo website to encourage exhibitors and buyers to register.

FEMA First Responder Earthquake Video 6:30

This video showcases three fire departments (Seattle, Napa Valley, and LA Fire) as they share why it is important to be prepared ahead of time so that they can stay in commission post-event without the hindrance of not being able to access office buildings, vehicles, or equipment and remaining fully functional.

Capitalert PSA 0:60

This PSA informed Capital region residents about a new emergency alert notification system they can sign up for.

FEMA SEVEN DESIGN CONSTRUCTION FEATURES IMPORTANT TO SEISMIC PERFORMANCE 6:11

This animation provides property and business owners with an overview of the importance of understanding seismic risk as well as the adoption and implementation of building codes with appropriate seismic design and construction standards.

U.S. Virgin Islands Earthquake PSA 0:60

The purpose of this PSA is to inform U.S. Virgin Islands residents about their earthquake risk and to “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” when an earthquake occurs.
